Honolulu Lifestyle stands behind a wall in Mashifane Park, minutes from Tubatse Crossing and five kilometres from the station. Within it: a lawn, a pool open the year round, an outdoor fireplace, a shared kitchen and lounge — and six rooms, few enough that reception knows your name by the second evening.

Guests arrive from the mines and the boardrooms through the week, and from the R37 towards the Blyde at weekends. Both are met with the same things — air-conditioning that works, a desk, hot water, and a gate attended day and night.
